A typical session starts with a phone call or meeting at the studio where we will discuss clothing, locations, and ideas for your portrait session. We’ll exchange Pinterest profiles and discuss pricing and session options so that there are no surprises during or after your session. You’ll get to determine whether we are a good fit for each other.
While your consultation will be brief, it is important that we do it in person or over the phone. Email and text are great, but neither allow us to fully be on the same page like a true meeting.
When you’re ready to take the next step, I will provide you with a booking proposal via email that will include all of the pricing information that we discussed during our consultation.
A non-refundable retainer is required to lock in your session date and allow me to prepare for your session by creating style boards as well as all the little things that go into preparing your portrait session. Your retainer is built into the session fee.
This is everyone’s favorite part. Getting things ready for your session. Who doesn’t love lover clothing, shoes, and accessories?!?! We can help by sending you a style guide of fashion trends and timeless pieces that always work for photoshoots.
If you’re posting to social media, Be sure to tag DeMayne while you’re shopping and sharing outfits with your friends.
Time to shoot your session. Upon arrival, we will sort out all of your outfits and pairings before heading into hair and makeup. During this time, we’ll play your favorite tunes as DeMayne configures lighting and maps out your shoot.
This is a perfect time to share your experience on social media. Show everyone what a great time you’re having with a little behind the scenes video.
Once your session is over, Demayne will prepare your session for editing and retouching. We’ll post a sneak peek on social media within 1 week, before inviting you back to view and purchase prints at your reveal party, usually hosted at our studio within 1-3 weeks after your session.
